Monarch Sanctuary in Michoacán

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Morelia and the monarch sanctuary in Michoacán. We stayed one night in Morelia and it’s a beautiful vibrant city. Although there weren’t as many monarchs as last year, it was still a fantastic privilege to see one of the world’s natural wonders. All-in-all, it was a fantastic trip and here are a few of my favorite photos from our journey. Enjoy!

Guadalajara Zoo

By no means are these all the photos I got at the Guadalajara Zoo, but I wanted to get a photos posted before we head back to San Miguel tomorrow. I had no idea what to expect at the zoo, but it was really fantastic! The animals seem well cared for and the zoo itself is quite beautiful. I would highly recommend visiting the zoo in you’re ever in Guadalajara.

Las Bestias Danzan

Las Bestias Danzan (Dance of the Beasts) was held in the El Jardin last night. Unfortunately, they didn’t get started until late and there was no light. Oh, well, these figures are really fun to watch as they dance around the plaza. Here are a few photos from the evening. Enjoy!

La Alborada Parade

I attended the La Alborada parade this morning. If you ever want to visit San MIguel de Allende, be sure to come here during La Alborada. The weekend-long celebration is really something to see—including this wonderful parade with so many different groups od dancers being represented. I managed to shoot over 1,100 photos of the parade and I’m still going through them. I’s gonna take some time to go through
