Charco Del Ingenio

Kathy, ReAnn and I visited Charco Del Ingenio (botanical gardens) yesterday. I thought we might see a lot of flowers, but the blooming season has past. What we did find were all kinds of unusual critters. I have no idea what kind of bugs these are, but I’ve never seem them in the states. The gardens are located above town and it was a nice way to spend the morning.

Dia de Los Meurtos

Let the party begin. This evening Bill and I went to Fabrica Aurora for one of the first of many parties celebrating Dia de Los Muertos. We’re told this is sort of a dress rehearsal for the big celebration later next week. There were quite a few folks in costume and I tried to get a few fun photos which wasn’t easy with all the people around. Enjoy!

Cañada de la Virgen

Yesterday, Bill and I visited Cañada de la Virgen which is a pyramid located about 40 minutes southeast of San Miguel de Allende. It was really something to see. It’s estimated to be about 900 years old. If you’d like to know more about it, you can click here to read more. I hope you enjoy the photos.
