Bill and I took the car to be washed yesterday and decided we’d walk around the Ancha de San Antonio area of town. We found this wonderful old church which we were told is one of the oldest churches in town. We then visited our favorite store in town that carries candles, furniture, art and lighting. Bill and I went out to Fabrica la Aurora yesterday. It’s an old fabric mill that has been converted to shops and art galleries. Most galleries won’t let you take photos inside their shops so here are a few photos of the grounds. It’s quite pretty and the galleries are stunning.
I just wanted to share the views from our house in San Miguel de Allende. We overlook La Presa de Allende to the west and these gorgeous green mountains are directly behind the house to the east. Enjoy!
We’ve had several thunderstorms the past couple of days and the forecast is for more so I thought I go around the house and snap some photos of all the beautiful flowers that grow on the property. Enjoy!
This morning Bill and I finally got into el centro. We had breakfast with Barbara (our guardian angel of Mexico) and her friend, Nora. While we were there we met some caballeros preparing for a festival this afternoon. The town is decorated with green, red and white Mexican flags on every street. This weekend is the big celebration so I hope to get some more photos of the festivities. On
