S.O.M.E. Mother’s Day Luncheon

S.O.M.E. (So Others May Eat) held their weekly lunch at the Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and celebrated Mother’s Day by handing our roses and aprons to all the women. It was a beautiful event—including a mariachi band. Bill waited tables are there were over 200 people in attendance. Here are some of my favorite photos from the event. Enjoy! P.S. Hummies

It’s hard to think of a better way to spend the morning than sitting in the front garden and watching the hummingbirds swoop in for a little nectar from our feeder. We have at least four hummingbirds that enjoy our feeder daily and we have to fill up the feeder about every other day. Enjoy!

Bernal Road Trip

I had to take the Harley in for a service so Bill (with Juliet) and I decided to add a road trip to Bernal. What a wonderful little town! Lots of shops and restaurants in the central part of the town and it was very easy to get to. You can definitely park you car and walk around the whole town. We had some great tacos for lunch and did

Visita de las Siete Casas

We started our evening by walking up to Camino Silvestre for an art show. They had this wonderful old saddle sitting out on the patio and a violinist playing. The town was packed

Her alter itself is decorated with bitter oranges, sprouts of wheat and purple paper picado (cut paper) banners.” —Atención Bill and I walked around town yesterday to view some of the public alters. It was busy in Centro with weddings (bride

Day Trip to Atotonilco

We drove out to Atotonilco which is a very small town just outside San Miguel de Allende. The town is famous for it’s church—the Sanctuary of Atotonilco. Our friends, Marcella and Primo, from Vancouver, Canada went with us and we had the nicest day in the country. We first stopped at the Hacienda Taboada for breakfast, then to the church and finally to Mama Mia’s for some drinks and a
