It’s been awhile since I’ve posted to my blog so here goes… We drove to Dolores Hidalgo on Saturday to visit the Catrina Factory. The factory is an amazing place where they create these wonderful ceramic catrinas and other ceramic pieces. Currently, they’re working on Halloween pieces that will all by shipped to the states so they’re a little short of inventory in their showroom.
Before having carnitas at our favorite restaurant in town, Vincente’s, we visited the local graveyard where the famous Mexican singer, José Alfredo Jiménez, is buried. Evidently, his claim-to-fame was not only his music, but the large sombrero he wore. You can buy a sombrero at the graveyard to honor him.
