With the town pretty much shut down due to the COVID-19 I haven’t been out and about too much for photos. Instead, here are some miscellaneous photos I’ve pulled off of my phone.

While San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful colonial city, Queretaro is a very close second. It’s only an hour from SMA and has a beautiful colonial central area. Bill and I had to take the car in for service today and Queretaro has the closest dealership so while the car was being serviced we decided to stroll the downtown streets. It’s quite beautiful with parks, churches, restaurants and shops.
Our hibiscus are in full bloom so I thought I’d play with a few photos I got on my phone. I love the texture of the petals.
It pours. This video was from last weekend’s rain storm. I think it was somewhere near Hernandez Macias and De La Luz in centro. This poor taxicab driver didn’t realize how deep the water was and I’m sure was very sorry he attempted the crossing.
George Carlin was so ahead of his time. Bill and I were lucky enough to have attended one of his performances in 1975 at UNLV. #AmericaWakeUp
It’s amazing to me that people complain about wearing a mask during this pandemic. Here’s a short video that might put things in perspective.
I’m not a big fan of HDR as so often it looks over-baked, but when you’re bored at home it’s kind of fun to see what you can create using the HDR processing. Amistad Canada held their 10th anniversary at the Institute Allende. Lots of folks showed up for the event to support the local NGOs. Here are a few photos from the event.
You just never know what you’re going to see in the Jardin of San Miguel. Yesterday afternoon a group of dancers were performing and the costumes were amazing.
