Nighttime at the El Jardin
The El Jardin has been decorated for the holidays. Lots of folks were at the El Jardin last night to enjoy all the holiday decorations. Enjoy!

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of Danzón San Miguel so they held a dance in Plaza Civica in Centro. The music was wonderful and there were some really good dancers. There was a nice crowd for the event including a mime and vendors selling bubble-making guns. I got a kick out of the mime using his cell phone. I’m not sure how that conversation would take place—perhaps he only uses
Tuesday was the Revolution Day parade. The parade was filled with mostly students in their school uniforms, but there were also a lot of folks in the traditional wear. The women were dressed in bright colors so they were the most fun to photograph. Here are some of the faces in the crowd. Enjoy!
Friday was the children’s Revolution Day celebration in San Miguel de Allende. The kids got dressed up in their best revolution outfits and paraded into the El Jardin. There was a caballero with his pony for the kids to sit on and have their photos taken by their parents and me. These are some of my favorite photos from the morning. Monday is the official holiday and I hope to
I’ve been a bit lazy lately and haven’t really gone out for more photos. Bill and I have been busy with moving and getting adjusted to life in Mexico. So I decided to go back through some of my photos and re-post some of my favorite photos from over the years. I hope to get back out on the streets soon for more photos. Enjoy!
Kathy and I strolled around town last Monday. Here are a few shots from the morning. Enjoy!
Kathy, ReAnn and I just walked around town Monday morning and here are some of the sights we found along the way. Oh, and it’s Monday so of course there has to be a parade. Enjoy!
Kathy, ReAnn and I visited Charco Del Ingenio (botanical gardens) yesterday. I thought we might see a lot of flowers, but the blooming season has past. What we did find were all kinds of unusual critters. I have no idea what kind of bugs these are, but I’ve never seem them in the states. The gardens are located above town and it was a nice way to spend the morning.
I walked into Centro this morning to do some shopping. This weekend is the St. Michael’s celebration. They’ve had parades and fireworks all weekend, but I thought the festivities were finished. Wrong! They had another parade this morning. I didn’t have my camera, but I managed to get some video on my phone. Enjoy!
There is a new (to me) art installation adjacent to the El Jardin. It’s a large bronze statue of an angel in a boat. It is very cool! Here are a few photos of the angel, the parroquia (church) and a wonderful trumpet man. Enjoy!
