The other night we met some friends at the Luna Tapas bar at the Rosewood Hotel. It’s a favorite place to go to get some nice photos of San Miguel. Enjoy!

Yesterday, Bill and I drove to Dolores Hildago. Along the way we once again stopped in Atotonilco. In Atotonilco, we visited the Galeria de Atotonilco where we toured the folk art gallery. They had the most amazing items in the gallery. We met Susan and Mayer, the owners of the gallery. They live on the property and their home is stunning. I didn’t feel comfortable taking photos in the gallery
This morning Bill and I drove to the little town of Atotonilco. It’s located about 8 miles outside San Miguel and is the home to the Galeria Atotonilco and the Sanctuary de Atotonilco. We’re going back on Friday with some friends, but we wanted to make sure we could find the places we wanted to see. If you want to tour the Galeria, you must make an appointment, but the
Bill and I took the car to be washed yesterday and decided we’d walk around the Ancha de San Antonio area of town. We found this wonderful old church which we were told is one of the oldest churches in town. We then visited our favorite store in town that carries candles, furniture, art and lighting. We call it Anvil because they use an anvil as their logo and have
Its been a very long day so tonight I’m just going to post some photos from the day. Enjoy!
Today Bill and I traveled with our new friends, Joyce and ReAnn, to Anado’s studio, galleries and home located about 30 minutes outside San Miguel de Allende in a neighborhood called Cieneguita. I have to honestly say it was one of the most extraordinary places I’ve ever seen. Anado and his partner, Richard, are artists who create, along with their helpers the most incredible mosaics. Here are just a few
Bill and I went out to Fabrica la Aurora yesterday. It’s an old fabric mill that has been converted to shops and art galleries. Most galleries won’t let you take photos inside their shops so here are a few photos of the grounds. It’s quite pretty and the galleries are stunning.
I just wanted to share the views from our house in San Miguel de Allende. We overlook La Presa de Allende to the west and these gorgeous green mountains are directly behind the house to the east. Enjoy!
We’ve had several thunderstorms the past couple of days and the forecast is for more so I thought I go around the house and snap some photos of all the beautiful flowers that grow on the property. Enjoy!
Bill and I drove into town last night for dinner. After dinner we walked up to the El Jardin to watch a small parade.
