Sunsets & Clouds

This is the rainy season in San Miguel de Allende. We get rain almost every late afternoon. When the clouds gather around the mountains it makes for some really pretty sunsets. Here are a few of my favorite photos of clouds and sunsets taken from our rooftop patio. Enjoy!

Beautiful Queretaro

While San Miguel de Allende is a beautiful colonial city, Queretaro is a very close second. It’s only an hour from SMA and has a beautiful colonial central area. Bill and I had to take the car in for service today and Queretaro has the closest dealership so while the car was being serviced we decided to stroll the downtown streets. It’s quite beautiful with parks, churches, restaurants and shops.

Eternal San Miguel de Allende Book

My good friend, Ted Davis, recently published a book called Eternal San Miguel de Allende: Celebrating the Hidden Treasures of a Timeless Town. Ted is an extraordinary photographer with his gallery (Ted Davis Galería de Fotografía) on Zacateros. (Featured photo by Ted Davis) I had the pleasure and privilege to work with Ted on his book. It truly is the quintessential book of San Miguel de Allende. The are over

Monarch Sanctuary in Michoacán

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Morelia and the monarch sanctuary in Michoacán. We stayed one night in Morelia and it’s a beautiful vibrant city. Although there weren’t as many monarchs as last year, it was still a fantastic privilege to see one of the world’s natural wonders. All-in-all, it was a fantastic trip and here are a few of my favorite photos from our journey. Enjoy!
